Children and parents have loved Trinity Playgroup for over forty years. Enrollment is open to children from 18 months to 5 1/2 years and shall be granted without regard to a child's race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, or disability; and without regard to a parent or guardian's race, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, gender, pregnancy or disability. Please read the following information on schedules options and our application procedure carefully.
Classes:
Trinity Playgroup is a family of 60-70 children divided into three morning classroom groups and one mixed age group afternoon program.
Toddlers - children must be 18 months old at the beginning of September to enter the class.
Intermediates - generally children must be 2 years 10 months at the beginning of September to enter the class, however, there may be some variation depending on the overall enrollment in the school.
Pre-Kindergarten - generally children must be 3 years 10 months at the beginning of September to enter the class, however, there may be some variation depending on the overall enrollment in the school.
Post Day - available to children in all three classes as space permits.
Schedules:
Trinity Playgroup operates on a twelve-month school year (September August). Parents choose the days and times that best meet their needs.
Day options:
A) Monday thru Friday
B) Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
C) Tuesday & Thursday
Time options:
1) Half Day (8 am-noon for Toddler; 8 am-1 pm for Intermediate and PreK)
2) Full Day (8 am-3 pm)
3) Extended Day (8 am-5:45 pm)
Some accommodations will be considered for families who have siblings in different classes. Alternative schedule combinations are possible as space permits.
School Visit & Application:
The application process at Trinity Playgroup begins with a site visit. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see our school in action, ask questions, and receive the visitor's packet which explains our program in detail and includes the Application for the school. Parents can apply for enrollment by completing the Application received including the $50.00 Application Fee. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis ordered by the date the completed application is received.
Prospective families are invited to schedule a school visit as early as July 1st for the next academic year. We begin booking July appointments in January and appointments book up quickly so it is recommended that you contact the school in January 2011 to visit July 2011 to enroll for September 2012. School visits are scheduled on weekdays at either 8:30am or 9:00am. Children are welcome to come with their parents to the school visit. Please note that no site visits are scheduled during the first month of school (September).
Waiting list:
Due to popular demand, we maintain an active waiting list. Your position on the waiting list will be based on the date your application with the non-refundable application fee is received (Priority Date).
In January of each year, current families are invited to spend the following school year at Trinity Playgroup. In February and March, based on the availability, the Director begins to notify parents on the waiting list of any spaces available for the upcoming year. The TPG waiting list is prioritized in the following order:
1. Currently enrolled children desiring a change in schedule listed in the order of their Priority Date.
2. Siblings of current families listed in the order of their Priority Date.
3. Children of former families (alumni) listed in the order of their Priority Date.
4. Children on the waiting list listed in the order of their Priority Date.
In some special cases, when the ratio of boys and girls in a classroom becomes other than 50/50, the Director has the discretion to select boys or girls from the waiting list (by Priority Date) to balance the numbers.
We would like to accommodate every child who applies to our school. Due to popular demand and limited space, please understand that if a family is not immediately accepted, they may remain on the waiting list until a space becomes available.
Acceptance:
When a child is accepted, the following is required to secure the space:
1) A deposit equal to 10% tuition must be paid within 2 weeks of the enrollment offer.
2) The first tuition installment must be prepaid by the end of June.
Tuition Payment:
Two tuition plan options will be available, a ten-payment plan and a semester plan.
On the ten-payment plan, you will pay 10% of the total tuition according to the following schedule:

Schedule Changes:
If you enroll on a part-time schedule, your child may have to remain part-time for his/her stay at Trinity Playgroup. We will make every effort to accommodate as many families as possible who want to increase their child’s weekly number of days or length of days during the course of their enrollment. All requests for schedule changes will be filled in the order of their priority Date. Two weeks notice is required for all schedule changes. Schedules must remain in effect for at least 90 days before requesting an additional change. Some consideration is given during the transition period and changes made prior to November will not be subject to the ninety day obligation. Schedule changes recommended by the Director are not subject to this policy.
Notification Period:
The current thirty day policy will remain in effect to release you from your future tuition obligation.
Tuition Refund Policy:
Please be aware that to maintain your child's place at Trinity Playgroup. There will be no refunds for the ten payment plan. A prorated schedule will apply to refunds for families on the semester payment plan as detailed below.

Deposit Policy:
The deposit is "rolled over" from year to year while your child is attending Trinity Playgroup. Deposits are refundable if you have completed your tuition obligation and paid outstanding charges in full and will not be returning for the next school year.
